Welcome to our GoHero Neighbors Program! At GoHero Home Services, we’ve dedicated 20 years to serving our community’s needs. More than a decade ago, we started this initiative to extend a helping hand to our neighbors experiencing financial hardships. This program is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us for so long. We select one household to receive a free plumbing, HVAC or electrical service. Whether it’s necessary repairs, essential installations, or critical upgrades, we’re here to help.
Why a Submission Process?
As much as we would like to assist everyone, our resources are limited. To ensure our assistance reaches those who need it most, we rely on a submission process. This helps us understand each applicant’s situation and determine where we can make the most significant impact.
How to Apply:
Please fill out the submission form below to apply or nominate someone you know who needs our help. Provide as much detail as possible to help us make an informed decision.

Steering Committee: Oversees the entire program, makes strategic decisions, and ensures alignment with the company’s values and goals.
Program Director: Manages day-to-day operations, liaises with the Steering Committee, and coordinates with other positions.
Volunteer Coordinator: Recruits, trains, and schedules volunteers, both from within the company and the wider community.
Nominations Officer: Manages the nominations process, from receiving submissions to preparing them for committee review.
Community Outreach Coordinator: Works on building relationships with the community, partners, and potential sponsors to support the program.
Project Managers (Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical): Specialist roles responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of service delivery in their respective fields.
Volunteers:
Service Delivery Standards: Our delivery and service standards ensure that every project, regardless of the beneficiary’s financial situation, meets the same rigorous quality and safety requirements as services provided to paying clients. All work is performed in compliance with local building codes and industry best practices, guaranteeing no shortcuts on safety or structural integrity. We adhere strictly to a policy of no compromise on the quality of materials or craftsmanship, ensuring every service delivered under the GoHero Neighbor Program is of the highest standard. Our commitment is to provide safe, reliable, and exceptional services, ensuring that every home we touch is left better, safer, and more comfortable.
Confidentiality and Respect: We uphold the highest standards of confidentiality for our beneficiaries, ensuring that their privacy is respected at all times. Only a photograph, the beneficiary’s first name, and the general side of town are shared publicly; full names and property addresses are strictly confidential and will not be disclosed.
Sustainability: Our approach to sustainability hinges on distributing the service burden lightly across trades, with each only serving four times a year, ensuring no single group is overextended. By issuing the company ministry monthly and engaging a broad base of volunteers, we guarantee our ability to serve our community effectively, even in months when revenue is lower, maintaining our commitment without strain.

Commitment:
To ensure the continuity and impact of our services, we ask that each volunteer commits to at least two Saturdays a year. This commitment is crucial as it helps us plan and execute our projects efficiently, ensuring that we can provide consistent support to our community members in need.
Participation:
Volunteering with us is more than just providing service; it’s about being an integral part of our decision-making process. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to participate in voting for the nominations each month. This process empowers you to have a say in who we serve, making sure our efforts align with the most pressing needs of our community.
How to Get Involved:
Sign Up: Fill out our volunteer application form, indicating your areas of expertise and availability.
Orientation: Attend a brief orientation session to get to know more about The GoHero Neighbor Program, our mission, and how you can contribute.
Commitment Pledge: Agree to our commitment pledge, which includes your availability for at least two Saturdays a year and participation in our nomination voting process.
Engage: Participate in monthly meetings (as able) to discuss upcoming projects, vote on nominations, and plan for service days.
